Georgina Oliva

In 2005, Georgina worked as a resident artist in the Centre Cívic del Convent de Sant Agustí within the JAC program (young talent program). During that period she conceived and produced  the project Espai per la bogeria (a place for madness) (2006) in collaboration with Radio Nicosia, she participated as an artist too within that project. Follows to that project the conception and production of the exhibition Records i impressions (records and impressions) (2007).
In 2006, she started her degree in Scenic Direction and Dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona where she brought to live authors as Sanchis Sinisterra, Bertolt Brecht, Bernard Shaw, Peter Handke and Berenguer Pou. She also worked as assistant of Carlora Subirós in Jugar amb un tigre by Doris Lessing (Teatre Lliure -2008) and Ángels Aymar in Trueta (Teatre Nacional de Catalunya-2009).
In 2010, she finished her degree, adapted and directed La Mort i la Primavera (Sala Teatre Estudi), posthumous novel of Mercè Rodoreda, and La Festa del Desgel (Sala Scanner) of Pasquale Bavaro.
Since June 2010, she is working as director assistant of Àlex Rigola for different productions at Teatre Lliure, Centro Dramático Nacional, Canal Centre d’arts escèniques Salt/Girona, Teatre Nacional de CatalunyaFestival GREC de Barcelona and Festival Temporada Alta Salt/Girona.
She also worked as performer for Romeo Castelluci in Vedere contro credere (2010) and Attore, il tuo nome non é esatto (2011) both within the frame of the Biennale di Venezia.
In 2013, she was stage  assistant director in a workshop with la Comédie de Saint-Étienne directed by Fabrice Murgia between Liège and Saint-Etienne. This year she worked as assistant also for a performance called 100Femmes directed by Àngels Aymar in the Festival Grec’13 and Parktheater Eindhoven.
Currently she is working as director in serial performances about the violence called El Proyecto Violeta (the violet project) and an installation called Mapa-1: IMAGO.
